Leila Rosen, Aesthetic Realism associate, writes about this upcoming Public Seminar:

How much feeling should we have about people and things? Which is smarter: being deeply stirred by reality, or being cold to it, aloof from it? Are coldness and warmth aesthetic opposites—opposites that are beautifully one in every instance of art? Do we want to make them one in ourselves?

The speakers, consultant Arnold Perey and associates Michael Palmer and Steven Weiner, will answer these questions—and they’ll show how the education of Aesthetic Realism enables men to make sense of the confusion in them about coldness and warmth.

The speakers will describe how this mix-up affected noted men in history and the arts. They’ll tell about their own education on this important subject in classes taught by Eli Siegel and Ellen Reiss. And they’ll describe the education now taking place in Aesthetic Realism consultations, which makes it possible for men to have large, warm feeling about reality and people, including women–feeling that is accurate and makes for honest self-respect.
