Aesthetic Realism explains, as nothing else does: 1) what the purpose of love and marriage is, and 2) what, in both women and men, interferes and makes for so much unnecessary pain. The Aesthetic Realism consultation trio There Are Wives—Barbara Allen, Anne Fielding, and Meryl Nietsch-Cooperman—will describe a central cause of trouble in marriage: the hope to be displeased by the world and other people, including one’s spouse. And they’ll show how it can change to a hope to see more and more meaning in things and people—enabling wives to feel proud and kind, and making marriages truly romantic!

They’ll give instances—including from literature and film—of the unseen fight in women between wanting to like reality and wanting to dislike it, have contempt. And they’ll describe the education women today are receiving in the monthly Understanding Marriage! class and in Aesthetic Realism consultations. Through this magnificent education, a woman sees her husband and herself with greater depth, accuracy, kindness, and wonder—and as a result, marriage flourishes!
