Leila Rosen, Aesthetic Realism associate, writes about this upcoming Public Seminar:
We’re all looking for love—but often, what begins with our feeling that we’ve found it, ends in our saying: “How could I have been so stupid?” This is not inevitable!
At this exciting and needed seminar, consultants Arnold Perey and Devorah Tarrow and associate Lauren Phillips will show what Aesthetic Realism makes clear: love is a subject of knowledge as much as mathematics or science or the arts. And the purpose we need to have with all of these—the purpose that will make us intelligent—is the same: to know and be fair to the world. They’ll show too that the thing making us unintelligent—in love or any aspect of our lives—is our using something or someone to have contempt for the world.
Dr. Perey, Ms. Tarrow, and Ms. Phillips will speak vividly, deeply, sometimes humorously about this subject so important to us all—with illustrations from their own lives, tribal folklore, American history, classic drama, and 20th-century musical theatre. And they’ll describe the thrilling education that people today are receiving in Aesthetic Realism consultations—education making real love possible for men and women at last.
Mark your calendars for this wonderful seminar.
