Love, Life, & the Opposites—A Cabaret!
The Aesthetic Realism Theatre Company Presents
Love, Life, & the Opposites
A Cabaret!
Sundays, April 26 & May 3
2:30 – 4 PM
At the Aesthetic Realism Foundation, NYC!
This will be a great presentation of song—with vivid, powerful, often humorous commentary. And in the comments, by the singers themselves, there is a rich understanding of people’s feelings and hopes—understanding that the philosophy Aesthetic Realism makes possible.
The basis is this principle, stated by Eli Siegel, founder of Aesthetic Realism:
“All beauty is a making one of opposites, and the making one of opposites is what we are going after in ourselves.”
The songs, performed magnificently, include cabaret classics like “Love Walked In,” “Stormy Weather,” “Till There Was You”—and also many, many surprises. This will be a thrilling good time—an afternoon of art, knowledge, and human feeling.
